Steve LordSteve Lord - Cameraman/MD ChromaVison Media & Compass Films
A freelance broadcast television cameraman and video editor born in Yorkshire. Steve became interested in film and started using cine cameras when he was just 8 years old. After a brief career in the electronics industry, Steve soon fulfilled his ambition to become a freelance TV cameraman, his work including TV features, corporate programmes and commercials. Since 1996 he has filmed the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of the north of England for numerous DVDs and TV programmes. www.stevelord.co.uk

Mark RichardsMark Richards - Writer & Broadcaster
The transition from full-time farmer to full-time outdoor writer was a gradual one. In 1973, with the direct encouragement of Alfred Wainwright with whom he regularly spent weekends, he wrote his first walking guide to the Cotswold Way. Since then Mark has developed a pleasure in exploring rural Britain by creating a range of practical, inspirational walking guides, most notably with Cicerone Press. His primary focus since his move to Cumbria in 2001 has been the Lakeland fells and Hadrian's Wall. www.markrichards.info

Terry Marsh

Terry Marsh - Writer & Photographer
Terry Marsh is a professional writer and photographer specialising in the outdoors and travel. He is author of more than 100 books, and specialises in the UK, Ireland and France, with particular emphasis on northern England and the Scottish islands, especially Skye and Mull. In addition to carrying out research for a PhD in Historical Geography, he is currently working on guides to the Pennines, the Severn Way and North Wales, while also working on an iPhone app to the whole of France. He is the revision author of many of the Michelin Green Guides to France and French regions.

Colin Speakman

Colin Speakman - Writer and sustainable transport & tourism consultant
Author of around 40 books, including several walking guides to the Yorkshire Dales and Germany and Austria, Colin was the founder Secretary and is now the Chairman of the Yorkshire Dales Society. He is the Chairman of the Dales Way Association, having first pioneered this popular long distance route in 1968. In 1997 Colin was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters by Bradford University in recognition for his work for the environment and literary output, and in May 2007 he received the first Dalesman Yorkshire Rural Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.
